About the Artist

Sarah Frey is a freelance illustrator with an MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Passionate about animals, literature, and all things vintage (especially when they come with a spooky twist!), her work blends traditional techniques with digital flair. Sarah begins each piece with line work using a nib pen and black ink, then brings it to life with vibrant digital colouring and pattern design.

Inspired by her long-time love of bats (which she’s always found super cute), Sarah created a playful, Halloween-themed pattern for Devon + Lang. This print features fruit bats - literally made of fruit! It’s a whimsical tribute to the season, combining her signature style with a spooky touch.
